Serving as the lead pastoral point of communication for the Impactful Transformations team is one of my greatest joys. There is nothing like seeing a person receiving new joys through the power of the Holy Spirit.
My Story
I grew up in a Christian home at a fundamental bible church in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania. I accepted Jesus in my heart at age 5. Studied Elementary Education at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Upon graduation, I became a teacher at a private Christian school and worked part time as a merchandising assistant for JCPenney corporation.
Upon moving to State College, PA, I continued teaching math and science for 5 and 6th graders at a local private Christian School. I was tasked for starting a middle school for them. I worked on building the middle school in all aspects creating the curriculum, scheduling, operating procedures, extracurricular activities, intake and assessment, theories and fundamentals. I continued as Middle School Curriculum developer until our daughter Carina was adopted. Then I continued to consult with the school in curriculum development, teacher development, and teacher assessment.
I developed my own business of Homeschool reviewer for the homeschoolers of Centre County. I continued in education, homeschooling with our daughter from 3rd grade through high school graduation. I taught numerous homeschool courses and served on leadership boards of two homeschool co-ops. I transitioned to the college academic setting as a part time notetaker at the local community college. I expanded my role to Adult Education and English Language learners as an advisor, teaching aide and instructor. I have been in higher education for the last 15 years. For the past 6 years, I have supported the Adult Literacy Department as the Intake/Assessment Specialist for the GED and ESL Programs.
I co-owned a successful cottage business with my mother for 12 years that was headquartered my mother’s home. We made dry mixes, soup mix, teas, and cookie mixes by hand with dry ingredients. D&B Mixes and More became a popular store front at many fall festivals in Pennsylvania.
I serve as an integral member of the Impact Transformation! Ministry team and am currently developing curriculum for the ministry into training materials for Apostolic Impact Center training intensive courses.
Church Leadership: teacher, healing minister, youth leader, home group leader, bible study leader are all roles that I have had. One of my greatest passions is women's ministry and seeing people set free by the transformative work of the Holy Spirit in their lives.
